Microsoft Finally Rolling out free 1TB OneDrive Storage for all users

Back in April 28th, Microsoft released the blog “Thinking Outside the box” that let everyone know they will be increasing everyones OneDrive for Business Storage from 25Gigs to 1TB for free.

One of the most asked questions on the Office 365 Community Site since then, has been when. The only answers we have ever been able to get from Microsoft is “within the next few months”.

Well, the wait is finally over.

Microsoft is now sending out Alerts by the Office 365 Admin Center. You should see this when you login.

Over the last week, I have noticed that some of our customers already have 1TB of OneDrive for Business Storage.

The easiest way to check to see if you have this change yet is to log into the SharePoint Admin Center and click on “OneDrive for Business” on the left quick launch. Put your name in the box on the page and it will display your current storage. If it says 1024GB, then you now have 1TB of OneDrive for Business Storage.
